The three-year, $9 million community-wide contest seeks the most innovative ideas in the arts to engage and enrich Philadelphia’s communities…and the Open Studio Tours is on the list! The Center for Emerging Visual Artists has proposed that we place images of artworks by participating POST artists in public advertising spaces in the same neighborhood where the piece was produced as a coordinated citywide campaign and exhibition. Regardless of the outcome, CFEVA is thrilled to be included in this process.

Artists are selected for CFEVA’s two-year Career Development Fellowship by our renowned Board of Artistic Advisors. While active in the program, the artists have opportunities to experience a full exhibition schedule, receive career counseling and mentorship, earn money from the sale of their work, teach in the community and participate in numerous professional development opportunities.
